Experiencing trauma can leave lasting effects on both the mind and body. Trauma can impact relationships, self-esteem, daily functioning, and your sense of safety in the world. You may find yourself feeling constantly on edge, disconnected from others, emotionally overwhelmed, numb, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.

We are proud to have a therapist on our team who utilizes Brainspotting, many people view this approach as a more personal, customizable way to work through trauma compared to EMDRs structured approach. Brainspotting supports you in processing and releasing unresolved emotional experiences by working with the brain-body connection through a variety of different specialized activities. Brainspotting can be a valuable option if you are seeking deeper healing from trauma, anxiety, and other emotionally impactful experiences.

Kady can help determine if Brainspotting is the right trauma approach for you. Through a thoughtful exploration of your current triggers, symptoms, and life events you and Kady will determine the best way to support you in growing, healing, and understanding yourself.

IFS Informed Treatment

Sometimes you don’t need a treatment or protocol, you just want someone to listen, validation, and help you heal from the wounds life has given you. Because you are not your wounds, you can heal from them.

Our trauma-informed approach incorporates somatic therapy techniques, such as IFS, to help you recognize that trauma is often stored not only in memories and thoughts but also in the nervous system and body. By increasing awareness of physical sensations, emotional responses, and nervous system patterns, you can develop greater regulation, resilience, and connection to themselves.

Both Kady and Jessica utilize this approach when it comes to supporting you learn regulation skills, identify more effective coping skills, and to trust yourself again. Together, you and your therapist will reconnect with your strengths, restore a sense of safety, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Attachment Trauma

While our team works with a variety of different trauma histories, we do have a focus on relationship trauma. Friends, family, or romantic relationships, we want to support you in understanding how these experiences have impacted you, and how to move forward.

Our relational-informed approach to trauma work incorporates somatic therapy techniques, such as IFS, and systems approaches, such as EFT and Narrative, to help you to understand not only how your body is storing these traumas, but how these traumas have impacted your life story so that you can write your own future. Not let the trauma continue to write it for you.

Rachel, Kady and Jessica all have different approaches in how they approach trauma work. Rachel tends to have a very relational approach, leaning into processing, reflecting, and making personal steps towards healing. Kady focuses on getting to those deeper mind-body connections through Brainstotting(see above), as well as incorporating the softer systems approach. Jessica again, brings that systems compassion, as well as IFS, or understanding how the different parts of you have been impacted.
