Welcome to Empowering Hope: Therapy in Fort Collins, and Across Colorado, That Feels Human
Hi! Welcome to Empowering Hope, my name is Rachel, and I am the owner here. You will be hearing a lot from me in these blog posts, but I hope to encourage my team to share their thoughts as time goes on!
If you’ve ever thought, “I should probably go to therapy… but I have no idea where to start,” you’re in the right place.
Finding a therapist can feel weirdly overwhelming. Do you need help with anxiety? Relationships? Something you can’t quite put into words yet? And how do you know if a therapist is actually a good fit?
At Empowering Hope, we try to make that whole process feel a lot more human and accessible.
We’re a Fort Collins-based therapy practice working with individuals (12+), families, and couples who are navigating things like; anxiety, self-esteem, eating concerns, trauma, betrayal, and relationship challenges. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself lately—we’re here to help you sort through it in a way that actually makes sense of this thing called life.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. People are complicated (in the best way), and your therapy should reflect that.
Our team—Rachel (me, hi!), Kady, Jessica, and Andrea—brings a range of training and perspectives into the room, including:
Gottman Method Couples Therapy -Rachel(Level 1) & Jessica(level 2)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples (Kady Intro & Jessica level 1)
Brainspotting for deeper trauma processing (Kady Level 1)
Person Centered for that human touch to therapy (all of us!)
What does that mean for you? It means we’re not just nodding along—we’re actively helping you understand patterns, shift dynamics, and build something healthier, whether that’s within yourself or your relationship.
A Special Focus on Couples Therapy
Relationships are hard. Even really good ones hit rough patches.
We work with couples who are:
Struggling with communication
Rebuilding after betrayal
Feeling disconnected or stuck in the same arguments
Wanting to strengthen an already solid relationship
Using research-based approaches like the Gottman Method and EFT, we help couples move from frustration and distance toward understanding, repair, and real connection.
(And no, you don’t have to be “on the brink” to come in—therapy can be a proactive way to build a stronger relationship.)
What Makes Empowering Hope Different?
We’re not here to be blank slates or clinical robots(or AI, that will be a whole other post I’m sure in the future!).
We show up as real people who care deeply about the work we do and the clients we sit with. That means:
Creating a space where you can be honest (even about the messy stuff)
Offering guidance, not just silence (maybe even challenging you at times)
Using proven methods while still adapting to you
Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or impersonal. It can feel like a place where things finally start to click.
