    Individual Therapy

Therapy is a place to lay things down for a minute—and take a breath without feeling judged, rushed, or like you have to explain everything perfectly.

We work with children(8+ generally), teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, big life transitions, relationship stress, body image concerns, and everything in between. Whether you’re deep in the messy middle or just starting to feel something’s off, therapy is a space where you can slow down, explore what’s happening, and figure out what you actually need.

Some of the things we often support clients with include:

Anxiety and overthinking (aka the “what-if” spiral)

    Depression

Self Care and Self Compassion work(how do we be kind and stand up for ourselves?)

Life transitions: new jobs, moves, breakups, college, grief, identity shifts

Body image, eating struggles, and learning how to feel safe in your body

Relationship and family dynamics—especially when boundaries feel blurry or communication feels difficult

Feeling stuck, numb, overwhelmed, or “not yourself” and not knowing why

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Our approach blends process-based and relationship-centered models like Narrative Therapy, DBT, and attachment work. It’s less about being “fixed” and more about getting curious, building insight, and finding ways to feel more like you again.

Why this kind of therapy works:
Because you’re not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. Real healing happens when you feel safe enough to be fully human in the room. Process-based, relational therapy helps you connect the dots, make meaning, and move forward in a way that actually sticks—not just temporarily, but in a way that shapes your whole relationship with yourself. As well as can give you the space to be open to change compared to move structural approaches that can focus on skills first approach.

No one is asking you to have the answers when you walk in our doors. No one is asking you to have it all figured out in 6 sessions. We will take this journey with you, however long it takes.

    Couples Therapy

Let’s be real—relationships are beautiful, complicated, and sometimes downright exhausting. Whether you’re feeling stuck in the same arguments, drifting apart, or just wanting to strengthen your connection, couples therapy is a space to figure things out together—without blame or picking sides.

We work with couples at all stages—new, long-term, unsure, committed, or somewhere in between—who are ready to grow, heal, and learn how to truly hear each other again. Therapy can help you slow down the cycle, understand what’s underneath the conflict, and learn how to show up with more intention (and less defensiveness).

Some of the things we often work on in couples therapy:

Communication (talking without spiraling, active listening)

Boundaries and expectations (where “we” meets “me”)

    Attachment dynamics and emotional needs

    Conflict patterns and repair work

Rebuilding connection after rupture, resentment, or big life transitions

We don’t promise magic fixes, but we do create a space where both of you can feel seen, understood, and supported. Our approach is grounded in Emotional Focused Therapy(EFT), attachment theory and practical communication skills—focused on building emotional safety, not pointing fingers.

Couples therapy isn’t just about “solving problems”—it’s about reshaping the relationship you have with each other. Whether you're trying to reconnect, recover, or realign, we’ll walk with you through the hard stuff and toward something more connected.

Why this kind of couples therapy works:
We use evidence-based methods like Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment-focused work—because real connection starts with emotional safety. These models help you:

Understand each other’s inner worlds and emotional needs (not just "the issue")

Learn to self-soothe and co-regulate instead of escalating or shutting down

Rebuild trust with structure, tools, and intention

Replace conflict cycles with patterns of closeness, accountability, and repair

    Therapeutic Supervision

Supervision is more than a requirement—it’s a space for reflection, growth, and becoming more fully yourself as a therapist.

At Empowering Hope we are proud to offer AAMFT Approved Supervision from a person-centered, “self-of-the-therapist” lens. That means we won’t just talk about what you do in session—we’ll explore how you show up, what gets activated, and how to grow your clinical voice with confidence and clarity.

Rachel Berglund currently offers this supervision. She is currently completing her AAMFT Approved Supervisor credential under the mentorship of Kaitlin Douglas, LMFT. If you’re looking for supervision that balances practical skill-building with thoughtful, reflective space—you’re in the right place.

    Here’s what she can offer:

    Individual Supervision – $80/hour

One-on-one time to dive deep into your clinical work, professional identity, and challenges. Perfect for newer therapists or those wanting consistent support and feedback.

Group Supervision (Two Options – All groups require 3 participants to launch)

    Group 1: Skills + Support – $35 per meeting
Designed for those newer to the field, this group combines practical skills-building with collaborative consultation. We’ll work on everything from case conceptualization to how to write a progress note that doesn’t take 30 minutes.

    Group 2: Consultation-Focused – $25 per meeting
A more peer-based space for therapists who are a little further along and looking primarily for case consultation, insight, and community.

    Therapy Small Business Supervision/Consultation

Providing therapy isn’t just about being present with clients. For a lot of us it is about becoming our own boss or stepping out of agency/community mental health work.

It can feel like we are on our own when doing this. What do we do? Who do we talk to? How does anything even work?!

It doesn’t have to be like this though! Rachel stepped out on her own almost 3 years ago now, got credentialed with commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare. TWICE! Once as an individual and once as a group practice. Throughout this whole time she was doing her own billing, claims, and communication with all of these companies/insurances. No billing company, no credentialing fees. Just time and effort to build the most self sustaining practice that she can!

    Here’s what she can offer:

    Supervision/Consultation - $40/hour

One-on-one time to go over setting up a private practice, the credentialing process, or general billing questions you are experiencing.

Please note that Rachel can only support with general knowledge, if you need more than she can offer she will refer you to a billing specialist, lawyer, or the most appropriate referral. Rachel does have a lawyer, CPA, and billing specialist that she does consult with and is happy to ask questions. Please note this would be an additional fee.
